Treatment in Leicester

Detox

The first step to recovery is to undertake a detox period, during which you will be carefully monitored around the clock by a devoted team member and your medical and emotional needs fully supported. The focus is entirely on calm and tranquillity to help you through this first stage.

Your Recovery Plan

The next step is identifying the treatment plan that best suits your needs and carrying out activities such as one-to-one therapy, psychotherapy, creative activities and mood management techniques based upon your needs and in conjunction with a dedicated therapist.

Aftercare

The final step in the process is aftercare, which can consist of as few or as many follow-up sessions as necessary for you. These can be in person, individually or in groups, over the telephone or via Skype and, very occasionally, a ‘top-up’ residential stay may be required. This invaluable resource helps to keep you focussed on the road to recovery.

Family Programme

Addiction affects the people around the patient as well and may have become part of life for some. The recovery process can be challenging and overwhelming for loved ones too, which is why we offer support and education in terms of understanding addiction and learning techniques and support methods to aid recovery.
As part of our family programme you can take advantage of private sessions with your loved one’s lead therapist or joint sessions with the patient. Having future plans and the love and support of family can be a huge help to patients and can make all the difference to their chances of continued recovery.

FAQs

Am I permitted to have visitors at the treatment centre?

At Priority we believe in the importance of including loved ones in your recovery, so of course they may visit you. The only time that this may be restricted is during detox when you need to focus entirely on the task at hand. But loved ones can call as regularly as they like for updates, which our team will happily provide with your consent.

Is there a cost attached to treatment in Leicester?

While some addiction programmes can be accessed free of charge via the NHS they do not offer the same dedicated support and fast action that you will access through Priority. The fact is that when someone needs help with addiction it is important to act fast to ensure the strongest chance of recovery. Long waiting times and generic programmes may put some patients off continuing with their treatment. The freedom and options we offer at Priority coupled with the intensive initial stages of our programmes give patients the best possible chance of success in overcoming the addiction.
