Treatment in Cardiff

Detox

Your programme will start with a period of detox, during which time you will be monitored and supported round the clock in a safe and tranquil environment with specialists attending to both your medical and emotional needs.

Recovery Plan

This is followed by the commencement of your recovery plan, as agreed with your dedicated specialist, which can be tweaked to meet individual needs. This will normally involve sessions such as one-to-one therapy, psychotherapy, mood management courses and creative activities.

Aftercare

At Priority we believe that supporting patients in the weeks and months after rehabilitation is as important as the initial treatment itself. Having someone on the end of a phone, or attending top-up therapy sessions can provide a lifeline in the aftermath of rehab. We will help with your continued recovery through a range of aftercare options such as telephone or Skype chats, follow up therapy sessions, recovery meetings or, on occasion a follow-up residential stay may be advised.

Family Programme

Family members and close friends can also suffer the devastating effects of addiction. They may feel guilty or responsible for causing or aiding the addicted person’s behaviour, for example by giving them money, or by excusing their behaviour to those around them. At Priority we believe in including loved ones in the recovery process and helping them to understand the nature of addiction and find practical ways to aid their loved one in their rehabilitation. We offer private one-to-one sessions and joint sessions with the patient.

FAQs

Can my family visit me during my residential stay?

Visits by family are actively encouraged at Priority since loved ones play such an important part in recovery. However, visits may be restricted during detox purely to offer the patient the best chance of success by minimising emotionally charged situations and ensuring complete focus. During this time family can call for regular updates, with the patients consent.

How much does treatment in Cardiff cost?

As with any other private medical care, there is a weekly fee at Priority’s facilities. This covers accommodation, food, drinks and treatments.

Prices vary from centre to centre and from patient to patient.

Whilst other services are available free of charge on the NHS, they are not always as easy to access as Priority’s and can involve long waiting times. We believe it is important to act swiftly once help is sought and begin treatment as soon as possible.
